Gaining inspiration from the sounds of his parent’s generation, Cameron's eclectic musical influences make for a truly unique songwriting style all his own. Taking the smooth sounds of the legends of the 60’s 70’s and 80’s and magically combining them with modern pop sounds like Maroon 5 and Bruno Mars, Dettman creates the perfect representation of old school meets new school.
As a performer Dettman has headlined venues like House of Blues & Hard Rock sharing the stage with national acts such as Imagine Dragons, Sick Puppies, Motion City Soundtrack, 3Oh3, and more.
After working on NBC’s The Voice and showing great promise as a songwriter Cameron has worked with some of todays top industry writers and producers, released singles for MTV & VH1, landed a residency @ Ritz Carlton Hotels, and even won a place in Nashville’s Music City Song Star competition with his single ”So Much Time”
When it comes to writing great songs, Cameron’s live performance experience gives him the edge many industry writers lack when it comes to writing for “the show”
